Presenting virtual historic landscapes one more time

Following the recently published book "Exploring the Visual Landscape", an eponymous colloquium was held on 22 March at Delft University of Technology. Because in this scientific book publishing our paper on Virtual Historic Landscapes is included, I was invited to introduce this paper and so to present virtual historic landscapes one more time.

Since last November, I have an assignment as Information Engineer at the Dutch Kadaster through Logica. In this function, I work on use case specifications and impact analyses for management and maintenace of Geo-ICT services.

From October 2011, I work as GeoICT software engineer at the GeoICT practice of Logica. After some good conversations, I was offered to work for Logica on various interesting and challenging projects, especially in Intergraph and open-source GIS platforms. And I was very excited to accept this new challenge!

Mediacentrale3D at esri GIS conference

On 28-29 Septembre 2011, the annual esri GIS Conference was held in congress De Doelen in Rotterdam. We presented Merkator on the pavilion 'GIS connects! ArcGIS-integrations' through one of our innovation-projects: Mediacentrale3D.

Enjoying the 3D pilot congress

Naturally as 3D geek, I had to join the final meeting of the 3D pilot on Thursday 16 June. On this 3D pilot congress the results were presented of one year cooperation in the middle of the pilot's test area, i.e. the Cruise Terminal in Rotterdam (NL).
